McLean Hospital enjoys a long history of helping individuals with psychiatric illness lead fulfilling and productive lives. Clinical programs for adults (listed on the left) focus on treatment of a broad range of psychiatric illnesses.
Individuals may receive their care in a number of clinical settings: day or "partial" hospitals; supervised living residences for short or longer lengths of stay, depending on the degree of illness; inpatient units; outpatient clinics, and satellite programs off the McLean campus that enable us to bring services to a wider geographic community. McLean also offers urgent assessment and crisis intervention, and has special expertise in treating adults who have more than one psychiatric illness occurring at the same time.
